Juice a lemon (if you don't know how to do that, go here) and mix the juice (sans seeds) with the sugar. ![]() Measure out how much white sugar you will need to fill the container (fill it pretty full, because it will sink down once soaked in oil). This is also a play-with-it recipe! Lucky you! You will probably have to stir it to make sure that everything at the bottom is covered. When the oil has soaked through as far as it is going to, pour some more. Pour into container that it will be stored in, and pour in some oil. Oil (olive oil, sunflower oil, grape seed oil, any oil you want) (this is very much a play-with-it recipe, meaning you chose just about everything for it, lol) I know how to make regular baby soap in to foaming baby soap, so I am going to try it with the liquid hand soap and let you know how that works out. Works great! And soooo much cheaper than buying it- which is good, because my daughter has a nice habit of using a lot of soap whenever she washes her hands. I used the bar soaps from Bath & Body Works, which aren't very moisturizing, and since my soap ended up being just a little less than 1 gallon, I filled it all the way up with moisturizing lotion (I used Coco Butter actually) and poured it all back into the pot, stirred, and back into the milk jug. Sorry I haven't been updating! I have been visiting family and -whew- I am worn out. I pick my living room and kitchen because I spend the most amount of time there and because they're both where visitors are the most often. pick the rooms that annoy you the most when they're dirty. So my challenge for you is to pick a day when you can spend a little extra time cleaning, and to try to spend a half hour every night cleaning something. I tidy the bathroom whenever I give the girls a bath, so every day/every other day it gets disinfected and things get picked up off of the floor and put away. ![]() During the rest of the week, I pick up the living room and kitchen every night, making sure especially that the dishes get done and laundry gets put in the dryer so that it doesn't sit in the washer overnight. We meal plan, grocery shop, clean bedrooms, and make sure everything gets cleaned, not just tidied. ![]() I also wash all of the bedclothes and rugs on Sunday. I try to do laundry throughout the week, but I make sure to finish it all on Sunday. BUT we have managed to get some sort of schedule going, which is something I encourage every family to try to do.įor instance, Sunday is our prep-for-the-week day. We've been in this new place for 2 months now and are still trying to unpack and organize the last few boxes. ![]() Stick each end of the Sour Strap into the blue icing to form a rainbow and insert a few mini marshmallows at each end to look like clouds.Whew- 6 month hiatus! Raising babies is tough and it's a pain in the butt to move with 2 kids. We found our package of Sour Straps at the Dollarama in Wild Fruit flavour. Measure out your Sour Straps to a length that makes a nice rainbow without being too tall or it will fall over. Using a frosting spatula spread a wavy layer of blue icing over the entire cupcake to look like the sky. They are SUPER EASY and SUPER FUN to put together! oh, they are also SUPER TASTY to eat too!īake the cupcakes as directed and let cool. Now that the cold and snow is finally behind us (knock on wood!) I wanted share our bright and cheery cupcakes with you. That’s because I thought Spring weather was right around the corner, turns out I was wrong, it was still a month away! But here it is mid April and Mother Nature has finally decided to cooperate, hallelujah! The boys and I made these cute little Rainbow Cupcakes over the March Break.
